Eucalypytol + Menthol + Methyl Salicylate + Thymol

This medication is a combination of four active ingredients: Eucalyptol, Menthol, Methyl Salicylate, and Thymol. It belongs to the class of medications known as topical analgesics. The exact mechanism of action is not fully understood, but it is believed to work by providing a cooling and soothing effect on the affected area, which helps to relieve pain and inflammation.

 

This medication is indicated for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains associated with arthritis, backache, strains, sprains, and bruises.

 

This medication is for external use only. Apply a thin layer of the medication to the affected area and gently rub it into the skin until it is fully absorbed. Do not use more than 4 times a day. Wash your hands after use.

 

This combination is usually a safe medication but the following side effects may appear-

  • Skin irritation or rash
  • Redness or swelling of the skin
  • Itching or burning sensation
  • Allergic reactions such as hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
  • Blistering or peeling of the skin
  • Headache or dizziness
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Muscle weakness or tremors

 

  • This medication is for external use only. Do not apply to broken skin, open wounds, or mucous membranes.
  • Do not cover the treated area with a bandage or heating pad as this may increase the risk of skin irritation or burns.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and nose. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
  • If symptoms persist or worsen, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
  • This medication may interact with other medications, so it is important to inform your healthcare provider about all the medications you are taking, including prescription, over-the-counter, and herbal products.
  • This medication is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.

Contraindication

  • This medication is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients or any of the excipients.
  • Do not use this medication if you have a history of aspirin allergy or are taking blood thinners. 

 

Do not apply this medication to the genital area.
