Cyanocobalamin + Iron (iii) Hydroxide Dextran Complex is mineral and nutritional supplement. Iron (iii) Hydroxide Dextran Complex is the source of iron in this preparation. Cyanocobalamin, also known as Vitamin B12, is important for growth, cell reproduction, blood formation, and protein and tissue synthesis.
Cyanocobalamin + Iron (iii) Hydroxide Dextran Complex is indicated for the following conditions-
One tablet daily with or without food or as prescribed by a licensed healthcare provider with prescribing authority.
Cyanocobalamin + Iron (iii) Hydroxide Dextran Complex may cause the following side effects-
- Nausea
- Anorexia
- Constipation
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Dark stool
- Patients with Iron overload conditions such as haemochromatosis, hemolytic anemia, or red blood cell aplasia should be treated with extra caution.
- Failure to respond to treatment necessitates additional testing to rule out other causes of anemia.
Contraindication
Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any component of the medication.
