Closantel + Levamisole

Closantel + Levamisole is a combination drug used in veterinary medicine to treat gastrointestinal nematodes and lungworms. Closantel is a salicylanilide anthelmintic that interferes with the energy metabolism of the parasites, leading to their death. Levamisole is an anthelmintic that paralyzes the worms, making it easier for them to be expelled from the animal's body.

Closantel + Levamisole is indicated for the treatment and control of gastrointestinal nematodes and lungworms in cattle, sheep, and goats.

The recommended dosage of Closantel + Levamisole for cattle is 7.5 mg/kg bodyweight of Closantel and 7.5 mg/kg bodyweight of Levamisole. For sheep and goats, the recommended dosage is 10 mg/kg bodyweight of Closantel and 7.5 mg/kg bodyweight of Levamisole. The drug should be administered orally, either by drenching or mixing with the feed. Treatment should be repeated after 3-4 weeks if necessary.

No side effects have been reported with this medicine when used at proper dosage.
