Clindamycin Phosphate + Tretinoin

Clindamycin Phosphate + Tretinoin is a combination medication of clindamycin, an antibiotic & tretinoin- a retinol.

Clindamycin Phosphate + Tretinoin is indicated for the treatment of Acne vulgaris.

Before using this medication, make sure your hands are clean. Cleanse the affected skin gently with a mild/soapless cleanser before patting it dry. Apply a small amount of medication (about the size of a pea) to your face in a thin layer with your fingertips once daily at bedtime or as prescribed by your doctor.

Commonly associated side effects are-

  • dry skin
  • itching
  • peeling
  • mild burning/stinging
  • Tell your doctor or pharmacist about your medical history, especially if you have eczema.
  • This medication may induce photosensitivity.
  • Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you are allergic to clindamycin or tretinoin; or lincomycin; or vitamin A-related medications (other retinoids such as isotretinoin); or if you have any other allergies.

Contraindication

  • Contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to clindamycin or lincomycin.
  • Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to tretinoin and retinol
