Chloroxylenol + Triclosan

Chloroxylenol and Triclosan are antiseptic agents that work by disrupting the cell membranes of bacteria, causing their death.

 

Chloroxylenol and Triclosan are indicated for use as an antiseptic hand wash or surgical scrub in healthcare settings, sunburn, cut & scratches. They may also be used for general skin cleaning to help prevent infection.

 

For adults and children over 12 years of age, the recommended dose is to apply a small amount of the solution to the hands or surgical site and rub for at least 30 seconds before rinsing off with water. For children under 12 years of age, the use of this product should be directed by a healthcare professional.

 

Common side effects of Chloroxylenol and Triclosan include-

  • Chloroxylenol and Triclosan are for external use only and should not be ingested or applied to open wounds.
  • This product should be used with caution in patients with known allergies or hypersensitivity to Chloroxylenol, Triclosan, or any of the other ingredients in the product.
  • If irritation, redness, or itching occurs, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
  • Do not use this product for longer than necessary or in larger amounts than recommended, as this may increase the risk of adverse effects.
  • This product should be kept out of reach of children.

 

Contraindication

Chloroxylenol and Triclosan should not be used in patients with a known hypersensitivity to either of the active ingredients or any of the other components in the product.
