Chlorhexidine Gluconate + Lidocaine Hydrochloride
Chlorhexidine Gluconate + Lidocaine Hydrochloride is combinational preparation of Oromucosal Spray. Chlorohexidine is an antibacterial agent and lidocaine HCl is a local anesthetic.
Chlorhexidine Gluconate + Lidocaine Hydrochloride is indicated in-
- Gingivitis
- Sore throat
The dose is 3 to 5 sprays (0.3 – 0.5 ml). This can be repeated 6 to 10 times per day.
Chlorhexidine and lidocaine are generally well tolerated, and no adverse effects have been reported during local short-term use.
Treatment with Chlorhexidine Gluconate + Lidocaine Hydrochloride should be limited to the relief of existing pain and irritation when strictly necessary. It is not intended for prolonged use, either continuously or repeatedly.
Contraindication
Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any component of the medication.
