Carbonyl Iron + Folic Acid + Zinc
Carbonyl Iron + Folic Acid + Zinc is a combination preparation of iron, folic acid and zinc.
It is indicated for-
- Iron deficiency
- Zinc deficiency
- Folic acid deficiency
One Capsule daily before food or as directed by the physician.
Carbonyl Iron + Folic Acid + Zinc may cause the following side effects-
- Nausea
- Anorexia
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Dark stool
- Patients with Iron overload conditions such as haemochromatosis, haemolytic anemia, or red blood cell aplasia should be treated with extra caution.
- Failure to respond to treatment necessitates additional testing to rule out other causes of anemia.
- Zinc buildup is a possibility in patients with renal failure.
Contraindication
Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any component of the medication.
