Camphor + Menthol + Oil Clove + Oil Eucalyptus + Oil Turpentine

This combination belongs to the class of topical analgesics and antitussives. Camphor and menthol provide a cooling sensation and mild pain relief, while oil of eucalyptus and oil of turpentine have a warming effect and are used as counterirritants. Thymol is an antiseptic and antifungal agent.

 

This combination is indicated for the relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with arthritis, strains, bruises, sprains, or backaches. It is also used as a cough suppressant for temporary relief of cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation.

 

  • Topical application: Apply a thin layer of the medication to the affected area 3-4 times a day and gently massage until absorbed. Do not apply to broken skin or open wounds.
  • Inhalation: Add a few drops of the medication to a bowl of hot water and inhale the vapors for 5-10 minutes, 2-3 times a day.

 

The following side effects may appear with the use of Camphor + Menthol + Oil Clove + Oil Eucalyptus + Oil Turpentine-

  • Skin irritation, redness, or rash
  • Allergic reactions (e.g. hives, itching, swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing)
  • Nausea, vomiting, or headache (rare)

 

  • Do not use in children under 2 years old without a doctor's approval.
  • Do not use in or near the eyes, nose, mouth, or other mucous membranes.
  • Wash hands after application to avoid accidental ingestion.
  • Do not bandage or apply heat to the affected area after application.
  • Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients or to other topical analgesics or antitussives.
  • Consult a doctor before using if pregnant, breastfeeding, or have any medical conditions.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
