Trichlorfon

Trichlorfon is a veterinary medication that belongs to the organophosphate class of drugs. It acts as a cholinesterase inhibitor, causing an accumulation of acetylcholine in the synaptic cleft, leading to excessive stimulation of cholinergic receptors. This results in irreversible inhibition of cholinesterase, leading to an accumulation of acetylcholine and ultimately causing paralysis of the parasites.
