Remarks

Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride + Zinc Acetate

Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine that acts as a topical antihistamine and painkiller by inhibiting histamine release at its source. Zinc is used to protect the skin. It is available as topical creams.

This cream is used to reduce discomfort and itching caused by bug bites, minor burns, sunburn, skin irritations, small cuts, scrapes, and rashes caused by poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac, as well as to dry poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac seeping and weeping.

  • Adults and children over the age of 2 years: Apply 3 to 4 times daily to the afflicted region. The skin should be clean, cold, and dry before using the cream. Before applying, avoid taking a hot shower or bath. Apply the cream lightly on the skin until it is no longer visible. All skin areas, such as between the fingers and toes, under the nails, and on the soles of the feet, should be examined.
  • For children under 2 years: Consult your doctor first, then apply to the face, neck, ears, and scalp, avoiding the region immediately around the eyes and mouth. Before washing off the cream, leave it on for at least 8 hours. During the 8-hour treatment period, reapply to any areas that may be washed (such as after washing the hands).
